Old trade name: Houtdraaierij B&S (1976-2005)
Houtdraaierij B&S started out in 1976 by making large candle stands for Easter candles in churches. After this, we made beer pillars for our customers. Lean-on tables were the next step. This gave rise to an especially large export to Germany.
Next, we sold many different feet and legs for beds, cabinets and tables. In the mean time, we developed other disciplines in the area of wood processing and wood finishing in addition to wood turning.
New trade name: BS Hout in vorm
After the historic start as a wood turning company, the manufacturing of finished products (including ranges of furniture) has become a very important part of our business. We want to present ourselves as contemporary and future-oriented.
This is why, in 2005, a different trade name was chosen: BS Hout in vorm. The new name speaks for itself; quality in wood. Attention is paid both to the final product and to the starting material, wood. The shape impresses and the product 'sells itself'.
A lot of investments have been made recently so we will be able to continue sales of our products in the future. In our machinery, computer system, attention to finish, new models of furniture as well as new documentation.
